El fin de semana pasado, fui a Copenhague y Estocolmo en Dinamarca y Suiza. Fui a Copenhague con mis amigas Carissa y Katy (somos los Tres Mosqueteros) y fui solo a Estocolmo. Llegamos en Copenhague durante la noche del viernes y anduvimos alrededor del centro. Hacía mucho frío y había viento, pero esperamos para el día siguiente. En la mañana de Sábado, Katy e yo corrimos y después, fuimos en una guía gratis alrededor de la ciudad.
Me encantó la arquitectura de la ciudad y era similar como Ámsterdam. El guía nos dijo que unos de los reyes le gustaba la arquitectura de Ámsterdam y se construyó la ciudad similarmente. Pero lo más impresionante era el Puerto Nuevo. Había muchos colores, barcos, restaurantes y un buen ambiente. Hay mucho comercio que ocurre en Copenhague. Hace muchos siglos, los marineros hacía de fiesta en ese zona.
En una isla en Copenhague es el "país" de Christiania. Christiania está en un base antiguo del ejercito. En los 1960s, los hippies se mudaron allí e establecieron su propio país. La marihuana está legal y hay un ambiente tranquilo. Es el sueño de todos de los hippies que existen todavía.
Por la mañana de domingo, fui a Estocolmo. Después de llegar, tomé unos de los mejores chocolates calientes de mi vida de un café que mi prima, Ali, me recomendó. Luego, fui al Palacio Real. Si viviera en el siglo XVIII, querría ser un principe o parte de la familia real. Tenía ¡TODO! Los cuartos y las habitaciones eran buenísimas. El palacio es muy grande y la familia real todavía lo usa por ocasiones especiales.
El Palacio Real está situado en la Ciudad Antiguo. Anduve alrededor de la Ciudad y saqué fotos de la construcción que fue increíble. En la Ciudad Antiguo, almorcé las albondigas suizas que son famosas. Me encantaron muchos las comidas y dulces. Después de almuerzo, me fui desde la Ciudad Antigua a una vista de la ciudad. Hacía mucho viento arriba pero tenía vistas bellas. Deseaba que hubiera sol, pero tuviera que esperar hasta el verano para evitar la niebla.
El lunes, corrí por la mañana y luego, fui al museo del barco se llamaba, "Vasa." El Vasa era un barco por la armada de Suiza, pero después de irse desde la marina, se hundió. Pero, el Vasa estaba conservado en el barro del Mar Báltico. Un científico lo descubrió en las 1950s y lo excavó. El Vasa es grandísimo y su apariencia era muy impresionante...¡me sentí muy pequeño junto al barco!
Este fin de semana, voy a Tenerife en las Islas Canarias para ir a la playa. Tengo que relajar un poco antes de mi medio maratón que esta en dos semanas y medio en Verona.

Good Evening Everyone,
This weekend I went to Copenhagen, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden. I went to Copenhagen with my friends Carissa and Katy (we are the Three Musketeers) and I flew solo to Stockholm. We arrived in Copenhagen Friday night and walked around the center of the city. It was pretty cold and windy, so we waited to explore more the next day. Saturday morning, Katy and I went for a run and later we went on a free tour around the city.
I loved the architecture around the city...it was very similar to that of Amsterdam. Our guide told us that one of the kings from the past really liked the architecture in Amsterdam and wanted to construct his city similarly. But the coolest thing was the New Port. There were so many colorful buildings, ships, restaurants, and a great atmosphere. There is lots of trade that goes through Copenhagen. Several centuries ago, the sailors used to party in that zone.
On an island in Copenhagen is the "country" of Christiania. Christiania es on an old military base where some hippies in the 1960s moved to and created their own country. In Christiania, marijuana is legal and it has a very relaxing atmosphere. It is a hippy's dream that that place exists still!
Sunday morning, I went to Stockholm. Upon arrival, I drank one of the best hot chocolates of my life at a face that my cousin, Ali, recommended for me. Later, I went to the Royal Palace. if I lived in the 18th century, I would want to be a prince or party of the royal family. They had EVERYTHING! The rooms and bedrooms were incredible. The place is huge and the royal family still uses it for special occasions.
The Royal Palace is inside the Old Town. I walked around the Old Town and took photos of the construction of it and it was unbelievable. In the Old Town, I ate the famous Swedish meatballs for lunch. I loved all of the Swedish foods and sweets so much! After lunch, I went from the old city to a view of the city of Stockholm. It was very windy up there but the views were gorgeous. I wished it were sunny out, but I would have to have waited until summertime to avoid the fog.
I went for a run Monday morning and then went to a museum for the boat, "Vasa." The Vasa was a battleship in the Swedish Navy, but after leaving the port for the first time, it sank. But, the Vasa was conserved in the mud of the Baltic Sea. A scientist in the 1950s discovered the boat and dug it out. The Vasa was gigantic and its appearance was impressive...I felt so tiny next to the ship!
This weekend, I am going to Tenerife on the Canary Islands to go to the beach. I need to relax a little bit before my half-marathon in Verona that I will run in a couple of weeks.
